A program for MUN delegates who want to become award winners!

Are you Elegible?

If you are a Wheeler MUN delegate, you are guaranteed a year long mentor if you apply. This program is targeted towards EARNING AWARDS, not teaching the basics of MUN. You must have attended at least one conference to be eligible. If you are not part of the Wheeler MUN, there will be an Mentor fee.

Why should I join?

Are you wondering why should  join the MUNtor program?  The MUNtor program is meant for delegates who feel stuck and want to improve their  performance at conferences. This program will take you from avid to expert  MUN delegate without becoming a power delegate and help you enjoy the process.

How does it work?

After you apply, Wheeler MUN will reach out to you with your Mentor assignment and their contact information. You will meet with your mentor as much as you would like (zoom). They will help with research and grade your position papers. Additionally, they will  give you tips and tricks for upcoming conference.

Who are the MUNTors?

Mayla Merhai

GEneral Assembly Mentor

Mayla Merhai is the co-president of Wheeler Model UN and has attended over 10 Model UN conferences and over 6 awards including one at Harvard Model UN and another at North American Invitational MUN.  

 

AMaan Seyad

General Assembly Mentor

Amaan is the vice-president of Wheeler Model UN and has earned the Position Paper Award and Outstanding Delegate award at UGA MUN, 2 Best Delegate Awards at  KSU MUN and one award at Harvard MUN.

 

Yasha Padmanabhan

General AssemBly Mentor

Yasha was the former co-president and is now the senior advisor of Wheeler Model UN! She has won many awards, runs a business and is currently interning at a law firm. She is very cool beans!

 

Fiona Peterson

General Assembly Mentor

Fiona is the Secretary General of Wheeler Model UN. She’s attended 12 conferences and won 7 individual awards, including Best Delegate and Outstanding Delegate at UGA, 3 Best Delegate awards at KSU, and multiple delegation awards. 

 

Mohinee SHarma

General Assembly Mentor

Mohinee is the current co-president of the Wheeler Model UN club and has won 2 Best Delegate awards at KSU, one Best Delegates at UGA and one Best Delegate at GSMST. Mohinee is committed to helping underclassmen reach their full potential

 

Ananya Rajagopalan

General Assembly Mentor

Ananya has won numerous best delegate/ first place awards both as a double delegation and a single delegation. She is also a national tournament qualifier for debate (top 1% of international debaters) and attended GHP for social studies.

 

Edward Kim

General Assembly/Crisis MEntor

Edward Kim used was the former co-president and secretary of Wheeler Model UN and is an amazing speaker and writer. He specializes in both GA and Crisis. He is also very very very cool beans!

 

Chase Fournier

Crisis Mentor

Chase is a passionate crisis Model UN delegate, as he has experience  writing 7+ background guides for crisis committees and has run 2 successful crisis committees. He is also the Crisis Director here at Wheeler Model UN.
